The Kyoto Box is a solar cooker made cheaply enough that Kyoto Energy can sell them for just 5 Euros.
While some of the claims in the video are realistic others seem to be ideas pulled out of thin air. Really - marketing a solar cooker as preventing rape, spinal cord injuries and land-mine risks? There were enough good selling points already that you didn't have to include those ones Kyoto.
At least Kyoto acknowledges that the the solar cooker idea is an old idea that dates back to the 1700's.
One problem I do see is that since it's built out of such cheap materials it probably will not last. The first dampening of the box during a monsoon or torrential downpour and it'll be reduced to a pile of mush in no time.
Take a close look at the "Kyoto Box" in the video too, it looks as if it's already falling apart.
So what do you think - Is the Kyoto Box a Cooked Up Scam or a Real Business?

Seems like a scam to me. Even because of the name Kyoto, that's the name of the climate change accord. Make money scams like this are not good for the reputation of people like us who want to be more earth conscious.
