I did this last year. Dang drafty window was bothering me whenever I was watching TV and it was windy. Was giving me a cold shoulder all the time. I threw some caulking on it and it's a lot better now.
Was just a quick job. A little smelly and sticky but it comes off. I think I saved money maybe.
