Sarah Palin's "Boycott Copenhagen" Remark

I've really tried to stay the course and keep myself out of politics when it comes to writing here. But with Sarah Palin's recent remark about boycotting the Copenhagen UN Climate Change Conference, I just can't help myself.

This girl always seems to say the wrong thing at the right time. With each outrageous comment she makes she seems to get a little more famous, it's all enough to keep her in the spotlight and he bank account growing. I'm sure I can hear Eminem's Sing for the Moment tune playing in the background somewhere in all her mess.

During the same period that the United States Environmental Protection Agency is finally admitting that "Greenhouse Gasses Pose a Threat to Human Health", Sarah is saying that Obama should boycott the United Nations Copenhagen Climate Conference. Honestly, I think she's a lunatic.

When the second largest carbon dioxide emitting country jumps on board and admits that greenhouse gasses are not good for human health, it's likely we can all be assured that this is probably the truth. The USA has nothing to gain economically by admitting such things are fact. To the contrary, responsible business becomes more expensive and the whole world will be watching the actions the USA takes to address these issues now that the admission has been made.

Boycotting the UN Climate Change Conference would be a worthless gesture and nothing good would come from it. It's probable that a boycott by such an important nation would make all future conferences useless because the action would portray the USA as taking a position of convenience rather than urgency.

I don't personally see Sarah Palin as someone who is worthy of such public spotlight, but the world has been becoming a little strange lately. The world has actually become so strange that I'd not be surprised at all if Sarah Palin was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for her new book "Going Rogue: An American Life".
